Rehoused Rat Screams.

I've just rehoused a V RI Rat, incorperating an extra knob and footswitch to switch in the Ruetz Rat Mod.

I've replaced the Pots with 100k log, and everything works fine.

Except at some knob positions the effect screams a tuneable feedback note!

Have i used the right Pot values?  Is it self osc'ing?  Have i lifted a solder point?

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated, cheers guys.

That's what the designer was aiming for if you believe the interview with him in Art Thompson's book.  Of course what he describes as a "whooooo" in the background, and what you are experiencing may be different enough that you are experiencing an actual problem, rather than simply the personality of the design.
