I perfed up Joe Gagan's Tarpit Meltdown yesterday. Some subs were made with extra parts I had (330R resistor instead of 390, 100K trim instead of 25K, 4.7uf instead of 10uf, 0.1uf instead of 1.0uf). It's really an impressive sounding fuzz. A typical great Gagan fuzz that also can get a very smooth and totally saturated sound. You can add the diodes into the mix using their respective pots (hot & melt) which sounds very cool with lot's of gain differences within both pot's travel. Defintely a versatile fuzz that can go from standard to pretty heavy sounding. I'll post a couple sound clips by the weekend along with 3 new SkyRipper clips (simulated "slapback echo", a cool high pitched squeel between picked notes and an octave down clip). Now off to find another skillet!!!!
