Flanger Hoax - Add Inductors?

The PCB photo of the Flanger Hoax at Mode Zero shows unfilled spots for four 4.7 mH inductors.  :o  Any guess as to what these would do if they were added in?   Why were they left out?   ???

They are almost certainly for additional power supply filtering.

They were probably left out because inductors are expensive, and testing proved that they were not necessary for acceptable performance.
