A/B variation help needed

I need some assistance from those more knowledgable than I on this project.  Bear with me...I'm going to try to make this as straightforward as possible, even though my project is a bit different. 

I'm building an A/B pedal where I can plug an acoustic, an electric, and another guitar into 3 inputs, have the acoustic A/B to the board or a tuner, have the electric A/B to my amp or tuner, and have the 3rd guitar go straight to the tuner with no switching.  In other words, I've got 3 inputs and 3 outputs with 2 3PDT switches and LEDS, but the "B" output is the same for both switched inputs and also the same for the straight through input. 

I've used the Fulltone A/B design, but it's a bit different, because both guitar signals go to the same jack when switched to "B."  As well, the open jack on the pedal goes directly to that same output jack. 

I put it together as if I were simply wiring up a dual A/B pedal, except that I ran both "B" switched signals to the same output jack, and I ran wires directly from that jack to a seperate input jack.

My first problem was that I had lit LEDs with no cord plugged in.  My hope was to wire both the acoustic and electric inputs up with stereo jacks, so that I could turn on or off one "channel's" LED by merely unplugging one of the guitars (I don't use my acoustic after the first set, so I would like to have that LED turn off when I unplug).  I don't really know how I can even do that, since it would seem that plugging into either jack would complete the circuit for both.  If somebody can help with this, that's my first issue (though, admittedly, not a huge one).

The second one has me completely stopped right now.  When I got this thing all wired up and started checked signal, I found that one channel worked perfectly, but the other two (the electric side and the straight through jack) were "polluted."  I got an ohm reading regardless of what terminals I checked on the jacks.  In other words, if I checked tip to tip from both the electric input to the tuner output and the jack straight to the tuner output, I had continuity.  When I check ground to ground on these, I also had continuity.  BUT, when I checked tip to ground, I also had continuity.  Obviously, this isn't right. 

Prior to my trying an entirely different switch, I thought I'd pry open some more knowledgable minds, on the chance that what I'm attempting to do simply cannot be done without some additional circuitry.  I have no clue.  I'm simply assuming that I can wire an A/B pedal with LED's with a common output jack, and have a seperate input running straight to the same output jack as well. Btw, I disconnected that straight through jack and still found the problem existed with the #2 jack, so that's not my issue. 

Input #1 works perfectly, even with #2 and #3 hooked up.  #2 and #3 do not work, even with #3 out.  I haven't yet tried disconnected #1 to see if #2 works on its own, because I thought I'd check here first.  I'm making the assumption that the #2 switch is not defective (although that may well be a false assumption, I know).
