Envelope controlled trem question

So I am putting tons of circuit clips together to make an EA tremolo with an extra stompswitch that will let the rate be controlled by a triggered envelope generator that is built into the same box. I only have 3PDT's, so:

would it be harmful or inefficient to run the power for the envelope generator segment through a section of the switch so that those parts wouldn't be using up any power while the pedal was just in "regular tremolo" mode?

I am basically wondering if the chips (LM13600 and LM324) would need any warm up time, or whether they would be harmed by the sudden jolt of power.
