Hi fellas,

what is the smallest size enclosure I could get away with for a Ross compressor?

Cheers

Not sure about the absolute smallest enclosure, but I think you should be able to get one into a Hammond 1590B box.
I built one in a Taiwanese 125B enclosure, which is just a little bigger than the 1590B.

This kit building  (BYOC) site I've gotten some PCBs from lately has a deal on now for a batch of blemished ross circuit boards, $5 apiece.  They need a trace cut and a jumper, but with the board being double sided its a real compact layout and can fit in a 15990B size box no problo if you use 16mm pots and plan your layout.

If you do without a battery and use an AC jack you can get it even smaller. Maybe even in a 2x2" enclosure. That is if you leave off the pots and the stomp switch. I'm doing the very same thing for a friend of mine (I'm putting it in a wah, see my thread).

Thats loco

Speaking of the 2x2, this was a scrambler before the circuit got stuck in, and I swear it all fit, the circuit was on the bottom and everything else was on the roof.  It was terrible.  No one was impressed.
