Question about cap on a FF circuit

What is the purpose of the cap on the 1k gain pot in the FF pedal?

Hi!

That cap shunts a variable amount of the signal at the emmiter (depending on the pot setting) to ground. This eliminates the negative feedback that the emmiter resistor provides, wich in turn allows to get the max posible gain from the transistor.
