question about gain control in opamps

ok i have most of the parts to breadboard a opamp based od like the ts or liquid drive sd-1 etc...i dont have any pots left though..

so if i wanted to omit the drive control and have it full on  for experimentation on this style circuit, would i just leave out the pot? subsitute a resistor for the pot?   how does this work?  this is my first time messing with opamps so go easy on me!    :icon_lol:

If you want it fixed at full gain, replace the pot with a resistor of the same value. Larger resistors will reduce the negative feedback (increase gain).
