Hey I just finished my fender blender clone from Topopiccione but I'm having some problems with it.

(In the what to do way):
1. Fender blender clone
2. http://topopiccione.atspace.com/PJ06FenderBlender.html
3. The layout was followed completely, as it should. Powered by 9 volt adapter.
4. All transistors: BC108C
    All diodes     : GA103 = OA685
    C2 was changed to a 47 nF cap.
5. Negative ground
6. The circuit does make a fuzz tone, but it doesn't really compare to a real Fender Blender fuzz tone, it doesn't sound as over the top. it can't get into that real ringmod octave up.
It suffers a REALLY BIG volume drop when engaded.

Transistor voltages:

Q1
E=0,60
B=1,06
C=6,83

Q2
E=6,44
B=6,83
C=9,02

Q3
E=3,02
B=3,32
C=5,96

Q4
E=0,70
B=1,33
C=0,75

Q5
E=0
B=0,62
C=0,06

Thanks alot, for all your help until now and in the future!
Merry christmas!

Besides that mine has a huge volume drop - can any one help me?
Maybe. Try reading the sticky "What to do when it doesn't work".

Now to the pulsar... the huge volume drop ... Does any one know what to do?
Your Pulsar is probably working as designed.

The Pulsar is inherently a volume-down tremolo. That is, it only cuts the existing volume down, it does not amplify it up during the loud parts of the signal. I have a redesign of the pulsar that I've never published that adds a gain stage to it to compensate. The trick is you have to add gain that matches the setting of the depth control. An easy fix would be to put a simple gain stage after it, not a compensating one. That should help.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I've seen the post just now.
I cannot check voltages on my clone because I gave it away...
Voltage on collector of Q4 seems very low: check R17, R18, R19, C8 and C9. Moreover Q5 is not working properly. Check everything after Q4, expecially every component connected to the green trace in the layout.

I checked all of the components you mentioned and changed Q5 but they all measure what they are supposed to do. (I measured there resistence, I hope that was the reight thing to do.)
