How to split a mid filter into low mid and hi mid

Hello!
I´ve built a bass onboard preamp and it works sweet now! even with low comsuption opamps like tle2142!
I can use a switch to change the center of the mid band filter .... just with more or less capacitance .... but thats not what I´d like to do ... I´d love to control half of the band the same time ....
The thing is that I dont want to reduce the band size and put an other filter in the project ...
So i´d like to know if I could just split it in 2 bands without the need of a 2 order filter
