I bought a LPB-2UBE on ebay a while back and it was dead.  I sent it to newsensor and they fixed it and returned it.  Now I was playing it today and I was running the left side into the right and it gets a nice overdriven tube sound but I noticed when I place another pedal before it (rat, hotcake, etc) it began to have a static like decay that would cut the note completely in somecases and the next note after as well.  I'm assuming this is sort of a gating.
Could this just be the tubes?

Hi bass,

It might be a a bias issue. I've not seen the innards of that unit, but I bet it has a trimpot or two you could adjust for this. Which type of tube is it? 12AT7? 12AU7?

If it's a clean boost pedal, you might want to set the bias so that the plate voltage is about 3/4 of Vcc, and play with it from there.
