Using that layout how would I wire this up to a switch, this would be my first build...crazy I know. But how would I go about wiring it to a Dpdt or 3pdt switch to add an led. Any help would be great.

There is a post in the FAQ forum that shows you how to wire a 3PDT.



Basically, you want the in wire of circuit board to the top left lug of 3PDT or DPDT. The output wire of circuit board to the top middle of 3pdt or top right of DPDT.
The In jack socket tip connector should go in middle left position of 3PDT or DPDT. The out jack socket should go to center lug of 3PDT or middle right lug of DPDT. Jumper the two bottom left lugs of 3PDT or bottom two lugs of DPDT. If you want to add an LED, connect the - end of LED to center right pin of 3PDT ground to top right and leave bottom left unconnected.

Thats the way I wire my switches. It is the simplest method considering how the switches work mechanically, for me to remember.

Connect - better lead to the second channel of the stereo input jack. and all ground points to the sleeve of input jack. That way you wont drain batteries if you unplug input jack.


This is all in the FAQ's and is easily available if you search. Tonepad has alot of wiring diagrams in pdf form.

Read, Read, and read some more, search before you post, and maybe, you will get this ambitious first build working.
