ROG Ruby - not output

hi guys
i've built a ruby from ROG but i'm not gettin any output...
i've made an audio probe and i found that theres output when y plug the signal into FET's source but no ouput when plugged to FET's gate...
that must mean there's the problem, right? but the only component between that stages is the FET and tryied with a few ones and there's still the same problem...
the pinout seems to be right (backwards there's a lot of noises and the FET gets hot)...
voltage readings at the FET are the following:
D = 8.9v
G = 2.4v
S = 0v

any suggestion?

Did you make sure you attached the positive leg of the 100uf capacitor to the 9v/drain connection?
