hey,

I noticed my wah was becoming not right.  THe pot only sounds the bass no matter how much you turn it,..i checked the wire, and replaced it,..checked cold joints,..A few weeks ago i thought it was the output jack, but now i realize it is the pot.

Could it be the middle lug lost connection from soldering it so many times?  I changed it out many times when trying other pots.
If I press on the middle lug with my finger the wah is ok, but as soon as i let go, it is bad again,..sometimes i push the lug a little, and it stays working, then when i flip the pedal back over it stops,..only bass again,...

Do i need a new ProPot?  could i open the pot and fix the lug contact or something?

thanks guys,..

I cleaned it with ProGold contact cleaner,.. but no cigar  :icon_sad:

Ritchie, pots can literally be destroyed from soldering/de-soldering them a lot, but if they are the sealed pots they are probably ok.pl

If your pot is 'openable' perhaps it's repairable?
As it is it doesn't sound like it'd be good for much.
  Maybe either
The wiper connection to lug is bad and can be repaired...somehow?
Or the wiper isn't contacting the wafer, perhaps something got in there to interfere with contact, ...I can't imagine how a wiper contact arm could get bent but....maybe theres a way to bend it to the wafer harder?
Hate to see a perfectly otherwise good piece like that get tossed without consideration of possible repair.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

thanks for the replies guys,.. ;D

I took pliers and bent the middle lug upward, it is working now, and not intermittent, but i don't know if that is a temporary fix or not,..

i guess it was wasn't touching the wafer like you said,...although this never happened to me before,..
