hi puretube!. Sorry to bother you. I remember you talking about attack functions in the royal filter, and i'm wondering how to manage this. Can i stick a 555 between the 2 transistor trigger and the 5087 with attack release functions?. Should i use something a little more complicated like a ca 3080 to achive this? Thanks a lot for your kind suggestions as always...

Something like this in the start frequency section might do the trick.

thank you Sir Giles, and merry christmas to You and Your wife.
(we had "Wienerle & Bamberger Hörnchen" at home yesterday,
and a goose today (about 5 minutes from now...).

for the rest, I`d like to show you what I got in the mail, and wish you all the same:

Ah, we had goose a few years back and very good it was too, far more tasty than turkey. But what is Wienerle & Bamberger Hörnchen? Do you celebrate St Nicholas?

guess what happened overnight,
yes, our christmas became white...

Yes, we "do" a little bit of Santa in the hallway:

the guy on the left blows a very groovy "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on the
press of a knob,
while the right one (sound-activated) starts jerking back and forth to the rhythm of a rudimentary drum-loop, shouting out a sample of James Brown`s grunting
from "Say it Loud - I`m Black and I`m Proud"...

much to the pleasure of my visiting dutch/german niece & nephew,
who according to the dutch tradition, got their presents at the evening
of dec. 5th;
while we adapted the german tradition of exchanging gifts on the eve of the 24th.

I cooked a chicken in a flower pot this year. Yes a flower pot. I got alot of strange looks and comments when everyone heard about it. Best bird ever.

Wienerle is the expression we use for "Wiener Würstchen", which are the finer (original) incarnation of what is generally known as "Frankfurter" (sausages).
Bamberger Hörnchen are very special (and rare and expensive) rather small potatoes (size of a thumb - difficult to harvest and to peel , that are being cultivated on a very small scale in our area (Bamberg is an ancient city 40km north of here...),
with a special flavour and taste,
and when used in potato-salad with endive, and a tiny bit of mayonnaise plus a hardboiled egg, makes it melt like butter on your tongue...
