Runs on a "9"volts adaptor which outputs 12,1Volts in fact. I must admit it sounds deeper with it though "biased" with a battery.

Spray painted with "lavender" "flat" can. Touch-dry in 5 minutes on room temperature! 10â,¬ per can though...

   Nice...Finish is very fine.
  You could install an LM317 on a small board to drop the supply voltage.
  Visual Sound 1SPOT Adapter is pretty inexpensive, puts out very clean 9.4vdc [IIRC].
  Seems like you could even put a [2v or 3v] Zener Diode in series with the Power supply to get a voltage drop.
