Here is the polychorus LFO and mode switch
http://www.auaj24.dsl.pipex.com/EHEchoflanger.pdf

I see the LFO>>>mode switch>>LFO driver>>4013>>4049

Why did they use the 4013 and 4049 in series? isn't that 2 clocks in series?

Why is the Mode Switch is hooked up to the 4053?

The Mode switch changes Double tracking,Slapback,Flanger, Chorus
But what does the Mode switch do to the LFO circuit? is the mode switch changes the Waveform shape?

I've got one, and according to my ears, it does a couple things:
Flanger - Short delay time with LFO varying that time
Filter Matrix - Short delay time without the LFO varying that time
Chorus - Longer delay time with LFO varying that time
Double Track - Longer delay time without LFO varying that time

Mode switch does 2 things one side turns on or off the LFO circuit the other side of the mode switch is hooked up to the
4053 chip iC7 which i think the 4035 is a clock chip to set the delay time
