The Futurlec ones I think are the same as their PCB mount knurled shaft single gang. I could live with the PCB mounts over lugs but the knurled shafts are too tall compared to my solid shaft Alpha's.

The Mouser 24mm would be too big for my project. I want to squeeze it all into a 1590B box.

I saw some 9mm (I think) over at Mouser, But I'm worried the travel may not feel the same as the other 16mm I got. I may go that route anyway.

I have a lot of 16mm's with taller "knurled" shafts, you just have to "dremel" about 1.5 cm off them
It's a PITA and be carefull, it gets VERY hot, whilst being cut off !!

I think I'm going to try a 9mm.

I've never used one before, do they (9mm) "feel" like the 16mm's when you turn them? Or do they feel like they have a very short travel by comparison?
