Opinions on stage center rverb?

I want to build this but I don't want to get done and learn that it alters the basic tone of the amp.  It seems like a great project as i've never been a fan of the classic fender reverb.  If built correctly is it quiet?...for a reverb. Thanks.

Lots of good info about reverbs is already posted. Untill others chime in do a search for Stage Center Reverb it will be worth your time.
