Power supplies...reading +/-

Does +/-35 mean 70 volts total, as in +35 and -35, or does it mean +17.5 and -17.5?

In my experience, +-35 is +35 and -35 with a common earth.
If you take the +35 and the -35, that is equal to a single 70v supply.
I'm using a lab power supply like that.... once in a while I get confused (the dial reads total volts) and fry something :icon_mad:
