need help with tremolo

i want to build the craig anderton tremolo. it uses the cd4049 chip, which i am not to familiar with. my question concerns pins 10, 12, and 15. on every schematic i see they lead to nowhere. are they not connected? it doesnt really specify. please help

They are not connected to anything. Most schematics I've seen have N/C on them which means "not connected".

Don't have the schematic, but they're outputs - probably of unused inverters which will have their inputs tied to ground.  Check the data sheet and all should be clear!
