Hi,
I want to connect 3 Midi inputs to 1 Midi output using a 3-pole 4-position rotary switch.
this way I can choose with one of the incoming midi signals will be routed out.
I cant understand the connection part of the switch.

This is my switch:

can anyone help me out? with a diagram or something...

if you cant find a diagram online, then do this
get a felt tip marker and your DMM. set the DMM for continuity, then find the 3 poles that show they are connected and mark those with a one. turn the switch to the next position, mark and repeat until you have found all four sets of three that connect.. as far as routing the midi i have no clue, but what i said will let you map out the switch.   hope that makes sense

from my experiences the 3pole rotary switch works like this. If you are looking directly at the bottom of it, turn it so that the three center poles make a triangle. The top pole correlates with the two lugs directly above it and the lug next to each of these. Should be numbered like so, use the continuity checker on a dmm to make sure. In posiion one, all three poles connect to their "1" in position 2, all three poles connect to their "2" and so on.....
