Hiya,

Yesterday I matrix boarded a Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz from this schematic : http://bryant02.home.att.net/schematics/axisfuzzschem.gif
I left off (as suggested) the bits in red.

The signal goes through, but doesn't distort atall and I get some very strange readings for the pinouts of the transistors.

Q1 2N3906
C = ?
B = 4.13
E = 4.56

Q2 2N3904
C= 4.72
B= ?
E= ?

The readings marked ? are where I touch the probe to the pinout, and the voltage starts at a reasonable number and then starts falling down to 0. Im sure this is not good. The battery reads 9.2v.

Ive checked for continuity throughout the whole circuit, and it seems fine. However, if I test the ground from too far-away (on my board) components, they will not always show continuity, even though when I test the connections locally, they are fine. (Does that make any sense?)

Anyway, Ive tried everything I can think of to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks  :)
