For many of the MODS we only need a few resistors and / or caps.   Purchasing on the internet it costs more for shipping than the parts cost.
Are parts from RS junk or OK? ???

i've bought both caps and resistors and they've worked fine for me.

Jonesy-

I have used their parts in the pass and have not experienced any problems.  In the good old days - they used to carry alot more.  My only problem is - I DON'T NEED TO BUY A CELL PHONE.   :icon_lol:

But for picking up a part - real fast they are just fine

Just the idea that they once had SAD-1024A's and SN76477's makes me nostalgic.

I still use their parts.

Nothing wrong with them except the fact that you will pay 10 times more for the resistors and caps then they are worth.

But it's still cheaper than buying just a few items thru internet stores.

Yep, that ain't no lie!

This is true. But, most of the time, they don't have what I need anyway. And what they do have keeps dwindling every day... :icon_mad:

I still get stuff from them. In fact, I need to swing by there tonight and get a couple electro caps and a switch.  Bought the big resistor pack some time ago and still haven't run out.  My Rangemaster was built with all RS parts, aside from the OC140.  Drat, maybe that's why it's getting "radio" interferance.  :D

I've bought 2 of the resistor packs and thats pretty much all I've used and have had no problems. They are also geat for impulse shopping!
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

I usually buy all their $15 resistor packs (good oddball values in there), knobs, jacks, right angle plugs, diodes, LED holders, sub-mini & mini toggles, and etchant!! I buy all the stock they have. Takes about 4-5 months to re-stock. The local Ham Radio guys and I are the only ones who buy any of that stuff. The blue LEDs are usually gone from the car-audio guys.

Back on topic: I have never had any problems with their resistors. I have never bought any of their caps, but I will if I have to.
