Tonepad FSH1 Any issues, or ready to build?

Howdy-

Just finished the build and after reversing the FET ( you know I stared at that for hours)  I got sound - it is alive .  The ticking issue does not seem to be there however the UP/DOWN switch and the SH switch don't seem to do anything - if they do do anything they seem to make the sound very muted and very low.  Has anyone found this and any correction?  What OPAMPS, JET and transistors did you use? 

Also - since this thing is really going to be a blast to use does anyone have a good sound sample - I need something to compare with.
