I've noticed a few layouts that show a 3-pin socket marked "D-S-G" (example- http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album17/TYTEWADD1 )
Is this some alternate way of marking a transistor? What do these letters stand for?
Thanks.

Great, thanks for the info! So, in the case of the Tytewadd fuzz...is there anything in particular that should go in that socket? I'm more than willing to experiment otherwise.
Thanks.

Looks like it's supposed to be a J201. You can use a 2n3904 or 2n5088 for the other trannie.
