Hi, I am working on the one knob fuzz from the Dragonfly layouts, it shows two 1uf caps, ceramic i think but i only have electrolytic of that value which have a positive and negative side, could i use them and if so which way would the + and - sides go on the layout, thanks Crawf.

Yea you can use them. Put the + side of the one on the battery side facing up and the other
two should have the + side facing down. Hope that makes sense to you.

Hi, Just wondering if anybody could suss this out, i`ve built the "one knob fuzz" and lo and behold, nothing! except when i hold the board and let my finger or thumb touch the soldered ends(just certain ones) the fuzz kicks in and depending how i move my thumb it gets louder, soon as i let go, back to no signal. I`ve changed the pot and omitted the switch to try and narrow the problem down but as a beginner i dont know where to look next, any clues anybody? thanks Crawf.

I would check all the connections and make sure they are good
then i would make sure everything is grounded properly.

Crawf,

One thing I've learned to do is tug hard and wobble all of my wire solder joints when I'm finished, I almost always find poor solder joints and save myself an annoying trouble shooting session. You probably have a bad connection.

I built the L'il Devil one knobber in the Dragonfly folder and love it !  It's in his schematics folder.

It's an over used statement, nonetheless, it's what got me through my first few projects successfully.
CHECK YOUR WIRING!
If that's not the case, good luck man :icon_mrgreen:
