Right on, Zach! that is the advantage a home DIYer has, if he wants to make a 24 stage phaser then he can!! It's very annoying when commercial considerations stop one being COMPLETELY mad. Though some go further than most..

As for hearing voices.. complex LFOs driving filters do that for me. And laundromat driers....
