I was wondering how you added an ON/OFF led with a DPDT switch, like this :

I think you use something called the "millenium bypass"

It's simpler and hasn't failed on me once. But make sure you have the right value output pot.

(shoot, posted late ...  ;D above is the same solution. And since the above circuit uses a 500k volume pot it probably won't work right away...)

I came across a simple schematic on www.experimentalistsanonymous.com from Joe Davisson
It uses a 2n3904 transistor and a 330k resistor to light the led, very simple and effective.
You can find it in the Scematic archive under  Buffers/Switchers/Mixers and Routers.
(don't know if I've got permission top post it here...)
