So I'm thinking of building this circuit, but I'd rather use 2n5088 transistors because I have a ton...how might I go about this?  Not totally sure what to do.  It's gotta be possible though.  This is the shematic for the circuit in question:

All help would be appreciated, in any form.

Thanks!

It's often rather difficult (OK, impossible, if it's me :icon_redface:) to convert an IC tone control circuit to transistors. Because, the transistor amplifier stages have lower input impedance & higher output impedance & far far less gain than an op amp (even ignoring the fact that the op amp has both a + and a - input!!).
I'd save the transistors for something else, and console myself with the thought that op amps used to be made of tubes, cost a few hundred bucks, and were only available as monos...
