For referrence, this is the circuit: DS-2 Circuit

This pedal is said to engage another diode pair when switching to the turbo-mode, but which pair is it ?
I see 2 hard clipping pairs D14-D15, D11-D12 and 1 soft clipping pair D8-D9.

Which of these is the first, second and turbo-mode gain stage ?

Khas Evets

It appears that Q14, Q20 and Q10 all open together and Q15 is in the opposite state. D9 and D8  apprear to be switched by Q20.

D15 and D14 look strange to me. You don't often see diodes to ground before a gain stage.

So if I get this righ, you are saying that D8-D9 are switched on with the turbo switch.
Thus making D14-D15 the first gain stage and D11-D12 the second stage ?

Those Q's are transistors right ?
But I see 3 different kinds, for example Q9, Q10 and Q12.
How do you know what they will behave like ?
