fixing LED's in Boss pedals

i have a couple of boss pedals who's LED's do not work, i have tested them on a battery and they light up, and they appear to be getting voltage but no go. 

any advice?  a bad ground perhaps?

Most likely a bad/broken solder joint.  I've bought numerous "broken" BOSS pedals that just needed a reheating of the joint.

most of the boss pedals i fix are missing the little plastic thing that keeps them from touching the base of the pedal.  a little electrical tape and they are good as new.
