I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread listing what components we will not be able to purchase anymore.

For example, will european buyers be permitted to buy BBD's from smallbear?

Will Germanium transistor based fuzz and boost pedals be off the european market completely? Is europe going to lose the Fuzz factory?

How will this effect the boutiue industry?

For example, will analogman be permitted to sell his Small clone clone in the EU?

Are there any loopholes in ROHS that will benefit Diyers?

What components should we stock up on because they are going to disapear completely from us poor saps in europe?

I know that Farnell and Rapid both have info on what is compliant, but I've just had a quick look on the internet and found this ..

I'm having a read now,but I think there may be exemptions....
I'm still planing on a stash of mn3007's etc

I'm thinking that if no alternative is available, there's a possibility (in the case of bbd's and say,CA3094's) that they may be exempt from the ROHS....
Also,as in the previous post, NOS tubes??? Surely they'd be quite a kick off over stuff like this

It looks as if BBD's might be exempt as there is no viable lead free replacement. Dont quote me on it though.

I found this aswell (so much time to kill on a night shift  ;D >:( )

page 20 mentions capacitors, and if it needed as part of the component... Still thinking of a little stash of mn3007's and CA3094's though  ;D

From my understanding, you'll still be able to buy surplus stock of whatever has been manufactured up to a certain date, to ensure that old equipment can be repaired.
I also hear(From Paul Perry I think?) that some manufacturers are seeking exemptions for certain things like LDR's, so I don't think it's gonna be too much of a headache.
