ROG Thunderchief as a Preamp?

Hi all, i was just wondering if i can use the ROG Thunderchief as a preamp before my power amplifer?
Would i get enough gain or would i need another preamp?

It should work fine, but it depends on how large input signal your power amp needs for full volume. The product documentation or user manual of a power amp probably has that information somewhere. Look for "input sensitivity" or something like that. If it is something like... Hmmm... 5 volts or under it should work fine. This is only crude estimate though and I assume you will use thunderchief from 9 volt power supply (or battery).

One other thing that comes to mind is that if the input impedance of the power amp is very low (under 10kohm or something) then you might need some kind of a buffer between the Thunderchief and the power amp.
