Boss Volume Drop When Changes Mods

Hello all,
I've noticed on a couple of my Boss pedals that when I switch between on and bypass there is a slight volume drop for a few milliseconds, which is kind of annoying.
I've noticed that it occurs on one of my GE-7's but not the other (both are Taiwan but the one that doesn't is a slightly older pedal).  The one I'd like to fix though is the PH-3 Phaser.  I thought that in a band mix the drums would cover it up, but I could still hear it.

I'm hoping there's a simple solution mod to fix this?  Any ideas?
