Hey guys, I am looking to build up a boost pedal. I want a pedal like the fulltone fatboost. Are there any DIY pedals that are similar? Thanks for any input. Let emknow what you guys like and what you have built!

Thanks again,
Jason

Jason,

Click on the link - then click the link to the Fulltone info page. Read the left/bottom of the page. The Fulltone boost IS the AMZ mini-boost.

Some cap changes may be needed to get the freq. response closer to the FB though.

I like my Mu Amps 'Skinny', [ I don't play bass, so can't comment, other than to state 'Fat' is way too bassy for me] so I use smaller cap...uh somewhere or another...in series with the signal path and that cap between the top Jfet's S/G.

Boosters all their own character.

Try Gus' bootstrapped bipolar boost in the beginner project section too.  :icon_biggrin:

My favorite boost has been the Titan. I believe it uses a dual op amp, and a transformer. it give that nice watery Knoffler sound. It's under John Hollis, but I also believe it's over on GEO also, where it has a Mouser (US) transformer number as opposed to a Maplin (UK) part number. It also has a up octave bridge section you can tack on and make switchable if you want to warm up the tone.
