Hey,

my Distortion Charger (DS10) sounds awesome in low gain, but if I push the gain to the end it gets really noisy...  I was wondering if there is something to be done to the circuit to cut the noise, cause it sounds extremely nice and without the noise it would probably be my favorite distortion pedal.

Here's the schematic :

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Simple answer :
High gain = High noise ( 99% of the time )
Try just running it as far as poss, til the noise becomes obvious, then back it off
a wee bit .... and/or back off the treble control a bit too.

Thanks but I had many other pedals with alot more distortion than that with alot less noise... I think it's something in the schematic.  Anyway... I have another problem.  The fet switch is making noise when engaged but not when it's turned off.  I check the switch, replaced it, but its still there.  Is there something in the schem that causes the pop?
