Channel switching through one mono cable with diodes...would this work?

Its pretty simple...basically it filters an AC signal, dumps whatever slips by the filters back into the mono, where the stuff is descrambled.  The cool thing is that this only needs 1 power supply, and then one more line to send the filtered output.  Does this seem like it would work?  With a stero cable you'd be able to make a 4 button footswitch ey?
