or, how about, does anyone know of a site that has templates for various boxes?

Geofex has one for the 1590BB.  The dimensions are obviously different, but you might want to take a look.  It's got some helpful measurement guidelines that can apply to any typical stompbox.

Here's mine, just have in mind that I don't use batteries, if you do just move switch and LED holes little higher

It would be nice to have templates for the other common enclosures.  RG's template has been very usefull for me many times saving me lots of time trying to get it right with a ruler, and also keeping me from getting the in and out jacks in the proper place(I've screwed up more than one box in the past).
Maybe this is something we as a community could get done, I will offer to try to do it myself, but I think there could be someone else more qualified with whatever software is best for creating it.  It might take me long time.  Which software is best for this? Certainly not MS paint.  It seems I remember reading on RG's page that he was gonna do the others, but chances are he's too busy or something.  It would make things easier if the diagrams for the pots, jacks and such could be borrowed from his to create the others.  Anybody have any input on this?

I think if someone were to take this on, vectored PDF's are fine for most of us.  GIF and TIFF files may be easier to edit, but I'm not sure how many are really doing that.

If RG will grant his permission I will post modified versions of his drill template for the following.

1590A
1590B
1590BB (R.G.'s original)
1590DD
and finaly
125B (wildmouse)

I started with his template, resized the boxes using the pdf CAD files from hammond and added outlines for 3PDT switch, Neutrik PCB mount 1/4: jacks, and PCB mount DC jacks.

Files are pdf and the vector artwork and RG's copyright is preserved. Workable in Corell Draw, Adobe Ill., etc.

Perhaps Aron will make a galery available we can all put templates in. That would be handy for tube projects.
It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.

Here's my lo-tech way for getting holes about where I need 'em, pretty dern accurately.
Take a peice of paper, cut or rip it to the dimension of the top of the box, fold, fold, fold, fold...[fold again?]...unfold...you have an exact center mark [where the folds 'X-cross', marks that divide the top into 1/4's, 1/8ths etc. and you can pretty much just go 'off the mark evenly' on both sides to get the inbetweens...kind of a cheep graph paper fitted to the box size and divisions thereof...anyway with a teeny bit of pondering and workin' with, very even spaced hole templates can quickly be made.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Not that i'm lazy, i'm just busy, otherwise i'd make my own.  I need to make an electronic template so i can send it out to get drilled and painted somewhere.
