I've got a complete schem drawn up in PSpice for the Mosfet boost, and I've got all the knobs turned up to 1. However, when the input voltage is 1V (ACMAG), the output voltage comes out at about 459.573 (330.502mV with gain all the way down)... whats going on here? Are these readings correct?

Supply voltage is 18v...

Is there a specific part I should use for the MOSFET and the Zener diode?

I suggest you use the circuit as the power supply for a battery-powered Bassman clone. :)

I've built the thing using the BS170, 2N7000, and the MOSFET from Radio Shack whose part number I can't remember but he mentions it in the article.

interesting suggestion.. but i found that the MOSFET i was using in the schematic was the wrong one, and subbed in an IRF115 (cousin of the radioshack one you speak of) and now i've got about 1.7V maxed out.

thanks!
