i had a working octavia until i added a dc jack.

it has a 3 dpdt with led

it's a plastic two pin jack (not small bear).

here's what i did:

1. removed the battery + (red) from the pcb and connected to sleeve of dc jack

2.  added a jumper from the dc jack sleeve to pcb

3.   removed led out (flat side) from sleeve of input jack and connected to centre pin of dc jack

now, the guitar plays through effect on bypass, but no sound and no led when switch is engaged.

did i connect the dc jack properly?

just in case, you cannot connect the battery and the jack at the same time if it is not a switching barrel jack (2 lead says it is not?)
Led should stay how it was,(maybe: 9v hot->2.2k-ish resistor->to round side of led.  and flat side of led -> switch lug ->switch lug ->ground on the board) and a wire should go from 9v jack tip(neg) to groud on the board, and 9v battery black wire should go to center lug of input jack (if you are doing that deal) and of course the hot lug(barrel/sleeve) to where the 9v battery red wire was

hows that sound...................

thanks, but i'm not sure i follow ...  do i need a different jack if i want to have battery and jack connected at the same time?

also, i think my led wiring is different, it goes:

centre lug of switch > resistor > round side of led
flat side of led > centre pin of jack

is there a schematic somewhere?

I got the right dc jack (switching), but it hums loudly with no sound through effect - although with a battery it works fine.

any suggestions ? or a layout from another pedal that I could use ?

Thanks
