Hi everybody,
i just bought, on ebay, an Ibanez AD 99 analog delay (mid '90...i think)
I know it's a 300 milliseconds delay pedal (based on the BBD technology....)
Is there any mod capable to extend the delay time (retard) or double it till 600 m. sec.?
Could anybody explane me how i'd do that?
Thanks in advance to anybody will try to explane me this hard trick

P.S. i didn't received the pedal yet so i don't know which IC it's based on

Converting any BBD-based delay to noticeably longer delay times can take one of two paths:

1) Insert another BBD in series (with appropriate biasing and linkage between chips) to add more stages of delay without any changes to clock or filter circuit.

2) Slow down the clock rate to make the existing BBD step through its paces more slowly.  This involves no additions to the main board but does/will involves changes to the filtering to make sure the clock does not become audible.

Neither of these are child's play if your goal is as radical as you suggest (doubling delay time).  If your goal is more modest (e.g., 50 additional msec) then there may be less required to accomplish that..

Dear Mark "Super" Hammer, let me understand better your reply...if i'd post the schematic about the AD99, could you help me in some ways...i'm not a first builder so i think i'd be able to modify this delay, if you decide to spend a few minutes to explane me the two solutions more precisely
...you don't know that, but you helped me many time in the past (fixing, repairing, modifying many different effects)
I'll try to post the schemo, but please, take a look to it.....many, many thanks in advance.
