I'm putting together a Maestro FS&H and have run out of 1N4001 diodes. I have a bunch of 1N4002s in my stash.

What's the difference in layman's terms and are they interchangeable for this circuit?

same voltage drop, different breakdown rating....
should work fine.........I use them interchangably,
at least at 9v.............
