I just built the Experience octave swell pedal, an update of the '70s Foxx Tone Machine and I think there is a lot of noise comming out when I put the fuzz on.  Someone has experience with this kind of problems or is that just the way this pedal sounds.

The swell-function isn't also that great but what are the best settings to use the swell?

Thanks,

Bram

I build the fOXX and it sounds great. I guess you made an error somewhere in the building

The best settings with the swell are having the tone about half way, the gain up a good amount, and the level up about half way, as you really need to kick the "swell" circuit into action. It needs enough level to do it's thing. You'll hear the tone sort of squeeze itself into oblivion and then swell back up.

I decided I wanted to add the swell function to my fOXX tone machine..... but it does not work properly I guess..... All I get is static and a very very very faint signal that does not swell. The only way I can hear it is by turning my tone knob up to the max (treble side)

And, as the search funtion is not working, I can't check the archive......

I check everything and nothing seems weird. I used a non-polarised 0.22 µf input cap.... could that be the problem?
