TS808 clone still noisy

El Griton 2.2 TS808 clone.
I used the PCB layout from tonepad.com
No parts substitutions or mods.
As said in my previous post, the box and it's functions (Level, Tone, Drive) work superbly and the distortion is terrific.  So then, I do have a working box.  However, there is a hash-like static when the box is in line, but the static disappears during true bypass operation.
I went through and reheated all solder joints, checked voltages, and ground continuity.  With the O-scope, the static first shows up on the signal on pin 1 of the 4588 and it's common side to the diodes and drive pot.  The static does not appear on the pin 2 "side" of the drive circuit however.

Stumped for now but still looking...
