Hey guys, I came across the Deluxe Memory Man mod page. It says to replace the stock IC chip at the input of the pedal with a TL072 chip. I recently bought some of these chips on ebay, but, when I got them I noticed it said on the chip TL072CP. Can I still use this chip in the mods? Is it differnt than a chip that just says TL072? Thanks

Unless it is a surface-mount version, all the suffixes in the world will not make any difference in what those chips do for that pedal.  Many chips are available in alternate suffixed versions that may be able to work in a broader range of temperatures, or at higher supply voltages, or have certain guaranteed specs that others may have (but aren't inspected and guaranteed).

Just be prepared that a) you don't want to damage the board while trying to remove what is already there, and b) the chip change may not make a HUGE difference in your case.  Typically, the difference is in hiss levels.  If your rig is not especially treble-rich, you may not even be able to hear the difference.  I'm not saying that is what will happen, but sometimes what produces a big audible improvement for one person doesn't do very much for another.

That chip should be just fine!  They are the ones I use....
