Hi everyone,
I've searched but can't find the answer....   Just powering one DIY pedal, what amperage walwart should I get?  I've got a 9v 100ma and a 9V 300ma from some old cordless phones.   Any rules of thumb?
Thanks for your help,
m.

I'd go with the one with the lowest current rating. I think if it can put out way more current than you need, the amount of excess voltage can also increase - which may or may not be a problem for your circuit.
If you only need 25mA to power your pedal and use a 300mA unregulated 9V supply, your pedal could receive significantly more than 9V.

Also, the trick where you splice in a 100 ohm series resistor and parallel 1000 mF cap on the wall wart power cord works great for taming hum/noise when using cheap, unregulated power supplies. You might want to try it.

Visual Sound One Spot...Positive barrel.. [easily enough reversed if necessary..I did].
this is the best power supply purchase I ever made, used mine tonights gig to power an EZ Vibe, a Wah [which don't like adapters, but makes exception for the
1S], EQ, and Comp.
Compared to batteries it's no noise...in my tests.
My buddy Bill said the same thing, boy he Reallyhad noise before, too.

hey pete,
What is it rated?   (how many mA?)

If it's just for one pedal, use a battery and mesure how much current it is drawing. Simply rotate the battery 90degrees and only clip one side in, and use a DMM.

I believe the current One Spot is rated at 1700ma.
