After recent discussions on the merits of using EQ pre/post distortion, I thought
that I'd try a pair of these, for the rig and for checking freq changes on builds too.
At £14.99 a pop, it's not going to break the bank !
As stated previously, they are plastic/cheap and have a horrible battery access, which
on first use almost broke a catch off and took my eye out with a "spring from hell" !!

Freq on graphic are: 100hz 200hz 400hz 800hz 1.6Khz 3.2Khz 6.4Khz
There's an overall level slider too, which needs backing of a little to have unity gain
when engaged and boost/cut sliders at "0"
The sliders are also "flimsy" and wobble about a bit, so will eventually fail I guess!

There is absolutely "zero" noise when in use, even with all sliders "maxed" and level
at max too, just a bit of hiss/noise from amplifying the guitar input so much.
In fact that drove my valve amp quite nicely into breakup :D

A good flexible range of freq's and good quality sound, all else is fairly "naff" but hey, its
only the price af a few beers and a pizza  :D
It will be very useful for testing out circuits and pre/post eq'ing some OD/Dist pedals.

Recommended :D

Mine acted up last Friday night, I checked it out Saturday..fine..used it Saturday night...couldda been anything.
The one knit pickittey item is that the DC jack is RIght behind the input...therefore one is inclined to use a straight jack [which I like to avoid, especially with plastic jack in PCB stuff], or have the angle jack pointing the wrong way and up to fit in all the way.
Things worked just great so far.
