1363 smps,what am I doing wrong?? help PLEASE!!!!!!

okay,tube power supplys are nothing new to me so I figured these little taylor 1363 smps would be great to fiddle about with and it seems like a lot of folks here are doing the same,For the life of me I can't get the damn thing to work  ,looking at the "always on"example it looks simple,+dc voltage goes to enable and Vn and ground is ground,I used 10vdc wallwart with positive leg to Vn and enable and negative leg to ground but when I turn on the juice all I get from V out is the 10 vdc being put into the smps,What the hell am I doing wrong???,I'm about ready to take a hammer to this damn thing,someone please help for sanitys sake,how the hell do you imbed images on this forum?

Hi redding, and welcome. Here's how you post an image

but replace the round brackets with square ones. You will need to upload the picture to somewhere like flikr, dropbox (remember to put it in your "Public" folder), etc.

Google UBB code for other things you might like to do, including italics, bold, etc.

Alternatively, look at the very end of the thread for these buttons:

REPLY, NOTIFY, MARK UNREAD, SEND TOPIC and PRINT

Hit "REPLY" and there will be a whole bunch of icons, emoticons, etc. Hover your mouse pointer over each of the icons in turn and a pop-up will appear saying what it is. Click the one for "Insert Image" and you will see the img tags magically appear where your cursor was in your reply text. Use the mouse to place the cursor in between the two tags and then paste your picture's url in there. Hit "Preview" and you can see how your post looks before posting it, or you can carry on editing it before posting.

You might like to delete your other thread on this subject. Trying to collate the replies from both threads gets confusing for everyone.

Look earlier in the datasheet - there is a pot to ground shown on the Radjust pin. Do you have that?

john taylor emailed me with a diagram,I had the pins backwards,its weird,from the way it looks in the product pdf its kinda confusing for the 1363,the 64 you can't wire wrong,anyway problem solved but I did manage to cook one unit but john has offered to repair it for me for free,I'm gonna buy a bunch more of these,its a great product from a nice guy ho stands behind what he sells,you can't ask for more than that
