Very easy Q - spdt >spst...

Tried the search but couldn't find anything. How to use an spdt toggle switch as an spst? Is it just a matter of joining 2 of the lugs together?

It depends on what you are switch but the general rule is center post and one other post. Ignore the remaining post.

Thanks Andrew - it's just an on/off toggle switch for the tone machine.

Yeah, In general when the switch is up the two bottom lugs are connected and when the swich is down it conects the two top logs of a  Single Pole Dual Throw switch.

If you are using it as a SPST switch you just use the two bottom lugs and you get an on off switch or connected not connected...
